CVM/Romeldale fleece from a sheep named Exotic Leonard! Leonard lives at Greene County Wool, a historic 200 year old climate beneficial farmstead in Durham, NY.

The CVM and Romeldale sheep have never been numerous, and today they are quite rare. The breed’s fleece quality and performance characteristics, however, make them useful for many production systems and valuable to handspinners and other fiber artists (more can be read on the breed via The Livestock Conservancy’s website).

Size: approximately 3 feet by 1.5 feet (measured by fleece side - not backing material)

This super soft fine wool fleece has a beautiful lavender gray color that shifts with the light.
