CVM/Romeldale fleece from a sheep named Wellington!

Wellington lives at Heather Ridge Farm, a historic 200 year old “hill farm” stewarded by Carol Clement in Preston Hollow, NY.

The CVM and Romeldale sheep have never been numerous, and today they are considered quite rare. The breed’s fleece quality and performance characteristics, however, make them useful for many production systems and valuable to handspinners and other fiber artists (more can be read on the breed via The Livestock Conservancy’s website).

Size: approximately 2 × 2 feet (measured by fleece side - not backing material)
