Wool from the Wensleydale is acknowledged as the finest luster long wool in the world. It is an endangered breed and is categorized as "at risk" by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.

This fleece is extremely soft and fluffy and comes with some long dramatic curls. The backing material is black Merino wool felt. This is a medium sized fleece that would work well on a large chair or ottoman. The fleece is from a sheep named Allie that lives in MN.
